Mr. Oscar

It's the first time in years that I was able to watch the Oscars live and in full. Back in Manila, I'd get so annoyed at how they'd stretch the show sooo much and squeeze in a zillion commercials that take forever that I'd give up watching and just go online for the winners. The Academy's different this year. All of the best picture nominees weren't huge budget or box office movies. I'm guessing a lot of people haven't even seen or heard of them. And for those who have seen them were told by people who did. I personally have only seen Crash which was really, really good in my humble opinion. I liked how it sorta 'mirrored' the overlapping American social / political realities currently happening. Now more than ever since I live here now. I am now part of the diversity and complexity of the mish mash of people living in the US of A for nearly a year now.

Today I am thankful for:
- HD TV
- Dole Salad Kits
