BG's Customer Service

I was curious how much Goyard's are retailing for these days. I dialled Bergdorf Goodman's 1-800 number and put it on speaker. I was at work so I was multitasking. I was surprised that an actual person picked up on the first ring. Not a recording or machine but a live human being. On the first ring too. I had him transfer me to the handbag section and he asked me which particular brand was I interested in. I said Goyard and he patched me through. After two rings, the voice mail picked up stating the person in charge's full name and instructions to leave the inquiry and contact info for them to get back to. So I did. It wasn't even 30 minutes later, I get a call back from a nice sounding lady who answered all my questions (retail price, sizes, color availability etc... etc..)

I like. No ridiculous press this or press that number that take eons. Come to think of it, I shouldn't have been surprised. I should have expected nothing but the best from a luxury department store. Now, if only I can actually afford to shop at BG. LOL Curious lang naman ako.

Thanks But No Thanks

A coworker of mine (JA) recently bought a Coach bag for his girlfriend. The other day he got a thank you/see us again note card from the store manager and was ust annoyed if not disgusted. I wondered what the big deal was about and he said he'd bring the card. I'll show you why.

Ang panget daw sobra ng sulat!!! I thought it was a nice gesture or form of customer service it being handwritten and all. I'm sure they were made to do it but it's better than nothing. Coach is actually doing well in spite of the 'recession'. I know of some of our Gap managers who left for Coach. Must be this reason. Good customer service=more sales=more profit=better job offers. JA said that he was really turned off at the handwriting. Ang panget panget daw for a store manager. Sana daw, nagprint na lang daw at pinirmahan. He said it looked like the store manager asked a 5 year old kid to write it. It wasn't Coach-like at all daw. Coach is not up there with the luxury brands but still daw, you have a level of image to protect. He seriously thought of mailing the card to the corporate headquarters to alert/show the PR/Advertising group. lol.

What do you think? Was the handwriting ugly? For me, slightly, I would have preferred a printed note too although who am I to criticize. I don't have the best penmanship either.
