Why I like Chick Flicks

I watched Reese Witherspoon's new movie Just Like Heaven with my sister-in-law this afternoon. I was actually more interested in what she'd wear in the flick. I like RW's seemingly effortless clothing sense. She only wore a total of four outfits which was a bit disappointing. I'm no movie critic but it was enjoyable. If you're a certified chick flick junkie. Green Light!

Anyhoo, I like chick flicks because:

• I'm female
• they're sappy, cheesy, corny
• they make you teary-eyed
• they give you butterflies
• you either go awww or ewww or argh afterwards even if they're pretty predictable
• guys just don't get it like girls do
• you get to see yummy places/settings
• you get to see yummy clothes (sometimes)
• they're relatively cheap thrills
• they can either make you believe in IT or not (really relative)
• you JUST watch and be entertained, not much cerebral action needed

etc...hmmm... same reasons why I like chick literature too!
