A good friend of mine who works close to DSW at Union Square gave me the heads up. Our first reaction was to get excited until we read these articles on Racked and the Times on the "surprise Gucci 60% off retail shipment" at DSW.
Let's just say we both thought that "Gucci might possibly be the new Coach". View the slideshow of pictures of the sale on Racked. The mish mash of Gucci items on walls and boxes looked just like counterfeit items sold in Chinatown. I cringed.

Yeah, times are indeed hard. But do they really have to resort to this? I'm sure LVMH's cheering/shaking their head right now.
