The Girls On Oprah

I haven't seen the Oprah show in ages. Today I made sure to catch it because she had the cast of Sex and the City over!!

The movie was pre-screened all but the last 20 minutes by the audience. They were made to swear an oath by SJP to seal their lips / hands (don't blog) about what they saw.

There was a lot of catch ups. Talk of being in your 20s swirled around when Kirsten shared how she was enjoying her life in her 40s and mentioned that "the 20s are overrated" and that she was miserable then not knowing who she was. SJP chimed in that the 20s should be spent figuring out who you really are and that you shouldn't have to know. "It's about improvisation, acting on a whim, travelling", "it's about making the best choices with given opportunites" I thought this was a good take away in general.

They featured a small segment with Patrica Field and the SATC wardrobe (I think the 5th character in the series). Racks upon racks of clothes, tables of shoes, purses, accessories. I would die! I wouldn't mind having 80 something wardrobe changes at all. I would volunteer! A dress they used for a scene was flown by Vogue for a shoot in Mexico so they had to send an intern to fly in and out with the dress in time.

A scene where Big and Carrie were apartment hopping was shown. It was amazing and Carrie wondered how that place was even available in the City to which the realtor said 'nasty divorce'. Carrie then went on to inspect the closet which was tiny and quipped "No wonder!!!' Yet another line to add to your list of SATC quotes.


I thought it was cute of SJP to wish that she could hire babysitters for all the women on opening night.
