The Reluctant Cook

Since the matriarch is still away on a much needed vacay. I've reluctantly stepped up and taken over the kitchen. At least only for dinner.

Seared/Baked chicken breasts. The breading was a mixture of herbs. They quite liked this one.

Tonkatsu. Just followed the recipe on the back of the Tonkatsu sauce bottle.

Rotini pasta with sun dried tomatoes, chicken, oregano, basil and loads of garlic. I like sun dried tomatoes but they tend to taste acidic/sour. I sprinkled a little sugar on before tossing them in. I think that might have worked out.

Coconut Shrimp. I bought the sweetened coconut flakes by mistake. Turned out better than my previous attempt. It was tastier. I forgot to buy the cocktail dipping sauce though.

Steamed Tilapia with olive oil, scallions, onions and tomatoes. I saw my mom make this. I still can't get it right.

I just noticed now. The color of my cooking is one shade. And veggies, we need some 'glow' foods.
