Tis The Season To Shop

Last Saturday at the mall was madness. I waited 40 minutes and yelled/honked at someone who attempted to steal my spot. Buti sa liit ng mini nagkasya ako sa mini space. First time I felt like a driver. My mom and aunt were chasing the before 1pm Macy's sale eh 1230pm na so they were okay bye, call us na lang. When I finally caught up with them, they asked if kung uuwi na. Heller. Kailangan sulitin yung parking ko noh. anovah. So we stayed over 5 hours at the mall.

All the stores are decked out and stocked full. Prepared for the insane Holiday rush. Kakaexcite. Sometimes I really miss working retail. Oh the rush and the kaching-kaching. 2 more days and it's Black Friday. Kaya tinawag na Boxing Day sa Canada eh. Sira tuktok ng mga tao. I swear. Naalala ko tuloy yung mga chic-a gone amazona girls at the Barneys warehouse sale last August. Think that but everyone.

Visited the flagship Gap that I worked at. Secretly took pictures. Bawal eh. I know every sulok. Hindi ko na ata kaya magretail ulit after working in corporate but if a Gap or Banana opened in our town I'm so there kasi malapit lang. Masaya at asar at the same time. Discount galore din noh. Gap nga naman, you know Holiday flow's out when you see rugby stripes, the winter accessory wall and the explosion of colors.

I've never experienced Black Friday as a consumer yet. I was smack in the middle of it but I was working then. So many hour on the hour discount notifications, coupons, promos and freebies have gone out since last week. They're all really pushing it. Sales have been down for everyone. Ramdam din namin sa Zegna. I think more stores are opening at midnight this year. Pinakaexcited din ako sa news after. It's filled with retail numbers, who beat who, who tanked, who made their dollars etc... etc.. Maypagka nerd pero ang saya saya. Hehe :)

Should I stay or should I go now!?! Sulit lang naman ata kung electronics ang bibilhin.
