This blog post is long overdue!!!
About two Sundays ago, I met up with my friend Mela in the City. I've been feeling really low and we thought it would be nice to just hang out. We met up at Union Square and went to Blossom between 14th & 15th Sts. for a mani & pedi. As we sat down, we were both surprised & amused that guys were going to do our nails!!! Their hands were so soft that it was sort of embarassing for me and Mela! Ha! The foot spa was very relaxing. I haven't had one of those in months. These are the sort of pamper services I miss in Manila. After our Essie nail polishes were dry, we were sooo happy to have good looking nails. Those precious two hours cost us $80 each including tip. Boy, I've never spent SO much on my nails. I did a quick conversion in my head and realized that was what I normally spent on my hair back in the Phils. Eek!!! I should really stop converting. There's just no point... hahaha! =)
We walked back to Union Square and just sat on the steps sipping our mocha fraps watching people go by and just talking and talking... while before catching a train to meet up with David (her bf) in Times Square. It's amazing just how ironic, surreal and plain WHAT!?! life can be. Right Mela? We'll get by, I'm sure of it...
We caught March of the Penguins at the AMC Theaters (which I didn't realize was HUGE and so high within) in Times Square. That documentary was not only very informative about the life of those particular breed of penguins but at the same time entertaining. The penguins were sooo cute! I want one!!! Can somebody get me one please!?! It WILL make me feel better!!! haha :)
Loads of thanks to Mela & David for taking me out. I really had a good time. Til the next day in the City! We've got to explore the Park real soon!!!
