A Christmas Quip

After Christmas Eve's drunken night, I've been indoors the past two - three days. Which is well and good as I would have found myself at the mall getting sucked into the markdown craziness. I must have gained 5 lbs from the inactivity though.

Anyways, I woke up this morning remembering something my mom and dad said at last Wednesday night's dinner.

Dad: Umiinom na mga bata sa harap natin. Hindi nangyari ito kahit kailan sa magulang namin.
Mom: Eh ano ka ba? Iba na ang panahon ngayon eh. COMPUTER generation na no.

BWAHAHAHA KkKKkkKkK

yun lang po!

Over Soju

I had to work out of our NY showroom again last Thursday. My friend/coworker suggested dinner after at K town. I have an insatiable appetite for Korean food. It doesn't get any better than having an actual Korean co-foodie take charge and do the ordering of the unfamiliar good stuff for/with you.

Great Korean food & soju. Great Conversations. Great Company.

And no, we are not going out, which is precisely why I had an awesome time. Cheers!!!

Hindi Ko Siya Kinaya

Fashion doesn't always need to make sense pero dude, naman! Antonio Berardi, the designer, should try wearing this himself. He is creating modern day torture devices for women. What's next?? Flat shoes that only give the illusion that they flat?

Sa bagay, kung nagkasunog man, kayang kaya siyang itakbo ni Becks ano!? Tara na Posh Spice!

Hole In The Wall/Human Tetris

Fox Network is importing this game show. Bakit ba ang kulit ng mga Hapon! Ang dami nito sa youtube. Para akong sira tawa ng tawa. Nakakamiss tuloy yung Takeshi's Castle.

Sergeant: "Nothing Personal Miss"

Cars were crawling because of the Labor Day long weekend traffic rush. I decided to take not so familiar back roads to avoid the highways with the help of my navigator and I get pulled over for speeding. Just great. The one day I go off the usual route, this happens. I was going 43mph on a 25mph zone daw on radar. I tried crying/birthday dramatics and "I don't need this right now" to get off but I guess I'm not a good artista. Buti hindi ko siya kinareer when I had the chance 21 years ago.

Sabi ko pa: "Please let me go (parang ikukulong), I promise to pay more attention next time. I'm not familiar with this area and I was just mindlessly following my GPS to avoid traffic "

Ang sagot: "Nothing personal Miss! Just appear in court and plead not guilty and I'm sure you'll get off easy given this is your first offense on record" Pucha if court would let it pass why couldn't he just do it??? Sa isip ko translation: " It's the end of the month and I need to reach my quota" Jerk!!! Boo!

Bear with me, first timer na mahuli talaga eh. Sige na, speeding na. I guess it was bound to happen but the timing amazes me. Now I'm going to be $105 poorer (better to just pay the fee than the hassle of taking a day off to go to court) with 4 license points to my name, I think it only takes 6 to get really screwed. Points which don't go away for at least a year.

Lesson learned na. Susundin na po yung speed limit. Pero to our dear Sgt. --- Have a nice life, I hope I'll always be the girl you gave a speeding ticket to 1.5 days before her birthday! I hope your kids don't get "nothing personal" when they start speeding later on. Congratulations on making your dollars this month.

From now on, I will be more aware of speed limits and will avoid back roads as much as possible too as I think I'm just not cut out to go that slow. You'll always remember the first time.

You're Out Albus!

Okay, so I'm a Potter fan. But was JK Rowling's "oh he's gay by the way" needed??? It never even occured to me to question Albus Dumbledore's sexual orientation. Parang pakana na lang na ewan to.

Dazzling Destiny's SPLAT

One day I walked into my room and saw my beanie bopper like this. She looked like she died. Nyahaha. She sits on the books of that shelf in the picture. I love this doll. My mom gave her to me ages ago. She's so kikay with her baby blue fur vest, hot pink tank top and aqua floral mini. And oh, her name's Dazzling Destiny as per her ty tag.

Just What I Needed

The drama is still there but a couple of things did make me feel better:

- a surprise phone call from my 'mate' JPD from the land down under, perfect timing!!! How I miss thee...
- that sms and call from a childhood friend, he talked major sense into me...
- my hula-hawaii friend's offer to be my punching bag, it's the thought that counts!
- having a good laugh with an ex co-worker over me trying to speak ghetto. whatup!?!
- a collage of me and my college friends made and sent all the way from Manila in an empty bottle of sake that I remember we were drinking whose brand translates to my Chinese name
- homemade chocolate mousse w/ bananas, dinner at Edgewater, tea, karaoke, story-telling with JM last night. Hehe!/jeje!
- chatting and scheming with c.b. and MSS until dawn (at least in my part of the world) POTAH! PAKSIYET! PAKSHELATS!

Yeah, tomorrow is another day. =)

Missing B

I'm chatting with my good, good friend B right now. I miss him very, very much. He's always been one of my closest friends from school. We tried to catch up on everything happening in our lives and it feels nice in spite of my being depressed & sad & all. Anyway... He can always, always make me laugh no matter what. Sometimes, it doesn't make any sense but we always have a good laugh.

B: I know somebody who wants to buy a baby elephant.
C: How much?
B: Php 5000 lang.
C: Ang mura naman!!!
B: Eh paano, pango yung elepante!

C: How come it seems like it's always US who have to be the bigger person?
B: Dahil maalat ang tuyo...

We may not be in constant communication with each other all the time but I know the bond is forever there and it will always be very easy for us to pick up where we left off. I've known him since I was four or five years old and I think we'll continue to be friends until we live to a hundred. =P
